Crystal A. Frost is a classically trained film composer, songwriter and writer from Los Angeles with a PhD in Music Composition and Theory from UCLA. Crystal has served as a contributing writer for Grammy.com and written press releases and web content for other artists. She is currently working on her debut novel, The Lonely Redwood, which won first place in the Chicago Writers Association's 10th annual First Chapter Contest in 2025.

Crystal's experience as a film composer and music supervisor spans all genres, from family movies to horror movies to romantic dramas. With a strong background in orchestration, Crystal enjoys making film scores sound as though they are being played by professional orchestras. When scoring foreign and period films, Crystal has experience incorporating lesser-known instruments to the score, making it more authentic to the time and place.

As a songwriter, Crystal's songs have also been used in films, including "Monkey Business" which was featured in the end credits of Gibby. Crystal is currently in the production phase of her debut album, which she hopes to release by 2025.
